A native of Columbia Missouri, I have always enjoyed and have a deep appreciation for photography. I graduated from Columbia College with a BS in Business Management. I studied photography enjoying the creative process of hand developing film and creating portraits in the dark room.
I began my photography business out of frustration due to needing quality, creative portraits of my own children but at an affordable price. Having been to some of the discount studios you are not able to have outdoor portraits taken and I wanted posed as well as "candid type shots". I provide a quality, creative product but at reasonable prices!
My philosophy about great family and children's portraits is that they need to be scheduled at a time that is good for your child. If your child(ren) are hungry, sleepy, or don't feel well it is hard for them to look good in a portrait. I try to schedule babies and young children at a time that they would feel their best. If during the session your baby is not happy, I give you time to cuddle, change them, and feed etc. until they are happy. If your child can't be pacified then you are welcome to reschedule. Communication is very important to me. If you have specific ideas, please share your vision with me. I will work to incorporate them into our session! I want you to be relaxed around me. You need to feel comfortable around the photographer you choose!
